Settlements were reached Wednesday for nine of the 10 wrongful death lawsuits from the 2021 Astroworld Festival, an attorney for one of the victims confirmed Tuesday.
The settlements, the terms of which were not disclosed, were finalized as an appellate court was set to decide on whether tech giant Apple would be removed from the the litigation. The pending ruling brought a civil trial centered around the death of 23-year-old Houston resident Madison Dubiski to a halt last week, days before a jury was set to picked and seated.
