The IRS scandal gives us a good opportunity to focus on the organization of the federal bureaucracy

Here's a look at the IRS organizational chart . For some reason I can't paste a copy on this post.

Note that it only shows top level personel. I'll dig around and see what I can find regarding lower level officials, and it has no detail about what these different people do. At some point we'll get more info about who thought the screening process up and implemented it, as well as how higher ups dealt with the revelation.

The division in question - the Tax Exempt and Government Entities Division - is one of nine under "Sevices and Enforcement." More on them separately.
