Controversy kicks up over how slavery is covered in Texas social studies textbooks.

More battles rage over the content of K-12 social studies textbook. This time its over how slaves are referred to in a caption.

Here's a blow by blow so far.

1 - It begins with the adoption of textbooks - approved by the Texas State Board of Education - in late 2014.

2 - It began when a parent posted a photograph on her Facebook profile showing a caption in the textbook referring to the Africans brought to the US during the slave trade as "workers."
