A strange thing happened when congressional districts were redrawn in Texas. The Alvin Community College campus was put in two districts (I've yet to find a good map that contains the campus, but if you drill down into this map you can find it). The bulk of it is in the 22nd District, which is represented by Pete Olson while a small little corner in the southwest corner is in the 14th District, which is Represented by Randy Weber.
Previously ACC was fully in the 14th District and was represented by Ron Paul - when he wasn't running for president. Randy Weber represented ACC in the Texas House as the representative of the 29th district.
This gives us the opportunity to follow two different people - both Republican - that represent two different districts, one coastal, one suburban.
