Recent stuff from the Gallup Poll

The Gallup Poll never stops. Here are three recent items it sent out. The first shows that the number of people who answer "no religion" when it asks about religios preferences has increased 3% points since 2008.

Trend: What is your religious preference -- Protestant, Roman Catholic, Mormon, Jewish, Muslim, another religion, or no religion?
And support for the death penalty has varied over time, but we are now about where we were in 1936 in our support for it.
Trend: Are you in favor of the death penalty for a person convicted of murder?
And finally, there has been a 5% increase in the gap between those who identify or lean towards the Democratic Party.
