Digging into the Red State / Blue State Divide

It turns out that if you dig into the data - and break down voters by various categories - the standard red / blue distinction between states gets complicated. If broken down by income for example, things look like this (the blank states were not polled for this study):



And this is what things look like broken down by age. This one ought to concern Republicans. I only see two moderately red states in the 18-29 map.
