The NYT wraps up the event. Mitt Romney wins by 8 votes and the newest non-Romney, Rick Santorum, comes in second. Michelle Backmann drops out, Rick Perry does not.

Many point out that Romney won not only by the narrowest margin ever, but by the lowest percentage of the vote ever. Does this mean that Republicans are still searching for an additional candidate?
