The latest on the battle over Medicaid expansion in the state

- The House of Representatives appears divided over the possibility of expansion. Supporters are trying to figure out how to get the national government to allow for adjustments - like co-payments and turning the program into a block grant. The block grant proposal appears to be a no-go from the feds.

- Speaker Straus wants a "Texas Solution" to Medicaid expansion. This article repeats a lot of what is contained in the story above. There is mention of the fact that the federal government accepted Arkansas proposal that private insurance options be available for Medicaid recipients.

- The Texas Tribune adds more to the "Texas Solution" proposal - which still needs to be fleshed out.

- The Tribune also has an interactive section where you can compare the approaches taken by different states, and you can weigh the pros and cons of Medicaid expansion.
